Beware of phony locksmiths

Today, locksmith business is the only business which is becoming more popular than others. But, with this popularity it is also became a way of cheating people and making fraud. Recently, I heard a news about a fraud by a fake locksmith company. The victim said that he was leaving his house for some work and leaving his puppy at home but while making sure weather he has gated properly or not so she could get in to the house, he accidentally locked himself out.

Because he moved in to his house recently, he didn't had any other spare set of keys He tried to call his landlord but he didn't replied. After several calls to locksmiths, finally he found one who were ready to do the job in $55 only, he immediately jumped over their price. They told him that one of their locksmith would be there in just 15 minutes but he came after 45 minutes. After examining the situation he asked for extra $85.85 for opening the door. The locksmith tried to pick the lock and also used air pressure bags to open the door but both didn't worked.

And finally, he would be able to unlock the door and changed his lock in around $200 including installation, uninstall and new lock price.

In these types of situations phony locksmiths get a chance of cheating people because they know that they will pay anything to solve those problems.

Always call a 24 hour locksmith. I advice you to be very sure to whom you are calling. If you are not sure, ask your neighbors, colleague or other consumer help departments. To avoid these frauds, check for locksmiths id, company's vehicle, company's certificate, etc.
