Flush doors have a completely flat and smooth surface and paneled doors are just that; various panels are cut into the door, usually square or rectangular. Paneled doors are designed to prolong the life of the wood as they are less prone to crack or warp. Door lights are basically paneled doors with glass panels instead of wood.
